fe:male – a European network for female entrepreneurs

They are based in Sheffield and have participated in a number of Lifelong Learning Programme funded projects to share best practices in mentoring and to empower women into taking up self-employment.
Currently they are working on a 2010 Leonardo Transfer of Innovation project called ‘fe:male’:
…we will transfer our experience in career guidance to the Netherlands, Cyprus, Malta and Italy. By passing our approved concept of Mentoring Circles™, we aim to enable our partners to support actual and potential female entrepreneurs in the same way in other European countries as we do in the UK.
For ‘fempreneurs’ across Europe
Inova recently launched their fe:male network with an event in Sheffield and it was a chance to spread the word to ‘fempreneurs’ all over Europe about this fantastic opportunity. It was also a chance for Inova to celebrate their 10th anniversary:
…what started as a business project between two friends has developed to a successful team, that has supported over 800 female entrepreneurs across three different continents and many different European countries.
The network is already impacting on ‘fempreneurs’ with the launch event leaving them inspired for the future:
Great to see female entrepreneur friends and make new contacts. The Mentoring Circles™ were empowering and full of warmth. I had to put my business on hold whilst I finished my PhD but now I am back! And I remember all the good learning to put into practice
fe:male – for women everywhere
Inova hope that their fe:male network will become a valuable platform and online tool that will encourage women all over Europe. Fe:male is now open for you to create your own profile and to contact, trade and share you experiences with other women who are running their own business or planning on doing so in the future.
I am most definitely interested in using the network and I can recommend it my own networks
